Transforming John Bargh’s kitchen
Horsforth
This bespoke kitchen project showcases a dual-tone color scheme, blending classic cabinetry in a muted off-white shade with a deep navy blue central island and lower cabinetry. The space features traditional Shaker-style door profiles accented by polished chrome cup handles and matching knobs. A dark mantle shelf rests above the black Rangemaster range cooker, creating a framed focal point against the white marble-veined quartz backsplash.
Designed around a functional central island, the layout offers a multi-use work surface with a bevelled white quartz top. The island provides integrated deep storage drawers and an overhang area for seating, paired with rich leather-topped bar stools. Bright oak-finish internal pull-out drawers are concealed within full-height larder cabinetry, combining sleek exterior paneling with accessible, modern storage solutions.
Every detail emphasizes clean craftsman techniques, from the subtle quartz edge finishing to the seamless integration of wall-mounted storage and under-cabinet prep zones. Natural oak-look flooring runs throughout, providing warmth underfoot and tying together the light wall tones, dark cabinetry, and coordinating accessories.
Frankly Stunning
