Transforming Adam & Janine’s kitchen

Boston Spa, Leeds

A traditional face-frame kitchen meets contemporary minimalism in this beautiful kitchen in Boston Spa.

The clean geometric lines of the continuous face-frame complement the simplicity of the flat panel doors and make for a very modern aesthetic at a high-end level.

Farrow & Ball “Green Smoke” paint on the wall-run furniture and “Studio Green” on the central island, coupled with brass door handles, brings together two very traditional colours and re-invents them in a very current setting.

The Abode undermount stainless steel sink and Fohen Fahrenheit boiling water tap in black contrast with the “Carrara Marble” white composite quartz work surfaces.

Neff appliances include two “slide & hide” ovens, a 90cm flex induction hob, a tall integrated fridge, a tall integrated freezer  and integrated dishwasher.

Extraction is provided by a Luxair Celux 90cm wide ceiling extractor in white, inset into the drop-down box lowered from the ceiling above the island. A 60cm dual-zone wine cooler from Caple completes the list of appliances.

Love it so much

“I almost didn’t make it to Mother Hubbards. I called John to cancel my appointment because I thought I didn’t have the budget for a bespoke kitchen. However, John persuaded me that my budget was sufficient so I kept the appointment and trekked to Pudsey. I am very glad I did! On my first visit the the showroom I explained to John that I would like in-frame cupboards with slab doors and bifolding cupboards to conceal the toaster etc and he totally understood what I was looking for. The visualisations he provided were really accurate and helped with the design process. John was very helpful with the worktop choice and even shared contact details so I could visit the factory to see a huge slab of quartz before confirming my decision. We have ended up with a functional and beautiful kitchen we love, that cost very little more than the off the shelf kitchens I had looked at.”
